Artwork Design Specification
To ensure to best reproduction of your design we prefer artwork (including logos) to be supplied in a vector format using either Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw and other graphics (such as photos) supplied as Adobe Photoshop PSD files, TIFF or EPS files.
Fonts and File Linking
Please ensure that all fonts are named and supply both print and screen fonts (for postscript fonts). If you do not wish to supply fonts, then all text must be converted to curves as this leaves us without the ability to make minor text changes if required (i.e. last minute expiry date). Please ensure that all linked files are also included and refrain from embedding files in documents, or if you do, then ensure that there is a separate copy of the file as well. Preferably, if the original graphic was produced in Photoshop with layers, please include that original document as well.
Logos
All logos should be supplied in a vector format (i.e. Illustrator) as opposed to a bitmap (i.e. TIFF) as this allows us to modify trapping in the logo and results in a logo that remain sharp and clear during reproduction. Refrain from supplying scanned logos. If the original vector logo is un available, then we can recreate it for a fee. Please note that we can not guarantee complete accuracy with this process however.
Printouts to be supplied
To make sure that what we get the output is what you intend and enable us to check that nothing has gone astray in the production process, please provide a PDF image or printout of the design supplied.
Scanning Resolution
All scans should be done at a minimum of 300dpi for colour, halftone or grayscale images and at 1200dpi for line art. Scans should also be done at least at the size that they will appear on the card and in CMYK (not RGB).
Outsourcing of Card design:
If you donot have access to card design then CardQuip offer a complete design service at very competitive rates.
Card Specification
This diagram will assist with your design and meets the critical card size and magnetic stripe location. Please allow 3mm bleed around the perimeter of the card.
